WWE Planned To Have Solo Sikoa Bypass NXT To Join The Bloodline

The Usos' younger brother almost didn't have to go to NXT at all.

The Bloodline has been dominating WWE for quite a while now. The trio currently has six titles between them, all of them coming to the ring with one on each shoulder. With Roman Reigns' potential challengers dropping like flies, some fans are less than pleased to see him face Brock Lesnar yet again. Many would prefer The Bloodline's next course of action to be one that involves recruiting a new member.

Wrestling's Samoan family tree is a far-reaching one, giving WWE plenty of options should it want to explore additional members. Seems as if it's actually something that has been on the mind of some in WWE already, as revealed by NXT's Solo Sikoa. Sikoa is The Usos' younger brother and is one of the first names out of fans' mouths when discussing who should be added to The Bloodline next.

Sikoa revealed to BT Sport that putting him in The Bloodline was the first thing WWE considered for his career. “Before I debuted on TV, WWE creative was like 'we'll put you with your brothers'. Then the next meeting was like 'let's see what you can do on your own',” Sikoa revealed. It was early, and it was brief, but confirmation that WWE has considered making Sikoa a part of the group.

Sikoa looks so much like Jimmy and Jey, even he admits at that point in his career, it would have been hard for fans to tell them apart. Not now that he has been afforded his own platform on which to establish himself, though. “Before man, I had black hair, we all really did look alike. Again, nine months later, people know oh that's Solo, that ain't Jimmy and Jey.”

If The Bloodline sticks together, it seems inevitable Sikoa will eventually be added to its ranks. Predictable? Maybe, but it has too much potential not to do it. As for letting Sikoa find his footing in NXT first, that has proved invaluable. Not only has Sikoa made a name for himself within WWE, but he has shone as one of NXT 2.0's biggest stars in a time when the brand desperately needs them.
